Background

Muzaffarabad Physical Rehabilitation Center (MPRC) was established by International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) after October 2005 Earth Quake disaster to serve thousands of disabled people who were in need of physical rehabilitation Services. MPRC is a highly specialized eighty bedded Physical Rehabilitation facility with separate wards for male and female patients.

It is providing physical rehabilitation services including assisted devices (artificial functional arms and legs), walking aids, club foot and cerebral palsy management, customized wheel chairs and physiotherapy services free of cost in addition to free boarding and lodging for the patients and their attendants.

It has provided more than eighty thousand services free of cost to permanently registered 16000 patients. Patients with temporary disability are in addition to them.
