Muzaffarabad Physical Rehabilitation has been established by the generous support of International Committee of Red Cross in 2006. Its main objective is to provide quality physical rehabilitation services for people with mobility impairments and contribute to their dignity, self-reliance, self-respect and social welfare.

MPRCis providing free of cost services to disable population of AJK, Punjab, KPK and Gilgit & Baltistan. About eight thousand disable patients are registered with the centre who need these services regularly.

With a motto of `disability not inability but a different life style ` — MPRC has been transforming lives of the neglected segment of society.

The Government of AJK has established MPRC as an autonomous structure with in Department of Health to retain technical expertise, early decision making and pooling of funds.

We have an excellent working relationship with ICRC Physical Rehabilitation Program and other partners and have made significant progress towards future sustainability of the services. Recent allocation of the Budget from Go AJK is also a major step in this direction.

I sincerely hope and pray that MPRC continues to plays its important role in rehabilitation of physically disabled thus making them useful member of the society.
